Terms of use

Effective

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading or using Ad & Popup Blocker: Clearpage ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The app is made by Winton Gee ("we" or "us"). It is an ad blocker for Safari: it gives Safari filter rules built from open filter lists, and Safari blocks the ads, popups and trackers those rules match.

2. What blocking can and cannot do

Safari applies the rules; the app does not see or change pages itself. Filter lists cannot match every ad, popup or tracker, sites change, and a rule can stop part of a site from working. When that happens, allow the site or pause blocking on it. Blocking works in Safari only, not in other browsers or inside other apps.

3. Filter lists

The rules are compiled from EasyList, EasyPrivacy, Fanboy's Annoyance List, Fanboy's Social Blocking List and the Easylist Cookie List, by the EasyList authors, under CC BY-SA 3.0 and CC BY 3.0. The compiled lists are derived from them under those licences. Sources, licences and versions are on the filter lists page.

4. Eligibility and requirements

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
  • The app runs on iPhone with iOS 26.2 or later.

5. Free use and Pro

Blocking, the setup checker, the status screen, the test page, allowed sites and pause are free, with no limits. Pro adds site controls in Safari's extension menu, extra filter sets for annoyances, cookie notices and social widgets, and themes. It is available as:

  • Pro Monthly: an auto-renewing subscription, $4.99 a month in the US (prices vary by region)
  • Pro Lifetime: a one-time purchase, $14.99 in the US (prices vary by region)

Subscription terms

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel the subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Canceling stops the next renewal; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

6. Apple's standard license

The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (opens in a new tab), together with these terms. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement applies to the license. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

7. Your data

Your allowed sites and settings are stored only on your iPhone and do not sync to other devices. If the app or the device is deleted or lost, they may be lost with it. See the privacy policy for details.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every ad, popup or tracker will be blocked, that every website will work with blocking on, or that defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WINTON GEE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGES ARISING FROM A WEBSITE THAT DOES NOT WORK WITH BLOCKING ON, OR LOSS OF DATA. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Intellectual property

The app, including its design and content, is owned by Winton Gee and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer it, except as the law allows.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Using the app after that date means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
